Storage is currently provided through vetted partner facilities, including climate-capable and bonded warehouses where available, operated to Africa Freeport standards and logged in the Vault.

Secure and climate-controlled

A purpose-built facility with museum-grade environmental control, security and fire suppression.

Free-zone or bonded status

Our aim is to operate inside a Rwandan free zone or under a bonded licence, so that duties and VAT can be suspended while works are stored. This depends on approvals we have not yet obtained.

More than storage

Private viewing rooms, conservation and photography studios, exhibition loans to museums, and partnerships for art-backed lending.

Africa Freeport is not yet a licensed freeport, free-zone operator or bonded warehouse. Timelines depend on regulatory approvals, partners and financing, and will be shared as they are confirmed.
